This guide explains our procedures for payments and security deposits, ensuring you know exactly what to expect when you collect your vehicle. Our commitment is to provide a transparent and straightforward service from start to finish.
We accept most major credit and debit cards, including Mastercard and Visa. To ensure a smooth and secure handover, the cardholder must be present when the vehicle is collected, as the physical card is required for payment processing. Unfortunately, we cannot accept American Express or Visa Electron. For business customers, account facilities with credit terms are available subject to application and approval.
Deposit Requirement: A security deposit is required for all hires. This is separate from the rental cost and is pre-authorised on your payment card. The deposit amount varies depending on the vehicle group and driver's age. For instance, drivers aged 23-25 are subject to a higher deposit.
Accepted Cards for Deposits: The security deposit must be processed using a physical credit or debit card. For security reasons, we cannot accept payments made via Apple Pay or any other equivalent digital wallet for deposits. The cardholder must be present at the time of collection.
Deposit Return: The deposit is held for the duration of the hire and is released once the vehicle is returned in the same condition. This process is typically quick, but the time it takes for the funds to reappear in your account can depend on your bank's processing times.

The deposit is released by us immediately after the vehicle is returned, refuelled, and confirmed to be free of any new damage. The funds are then returned to your card by your bank, which can take several working days.
