We understand that plans can change. At Midhire, we aim to be as flexible as possible when you need to amend or cancel your vehicle hire booking. This guide outlines our cancellation policy, including notice periods and any applicable fees. Our goal is to provide a clear and fair process, ensuring you know exactly where you stand if your circumstances change.

How Our Policy Works

Our cancellation policy is designed to be straightforward. The possibility of a refund or a fee depends on how far in advance you notify us of the cancellation. For bookings where you have prepaid, specific terms apply to ensure fairness to all customers, as late cancellations can prevent others from hiring a vehicle they need. For bookings that have not been prepaid, we simply ask for as much notice as possible.

How Our Policy Works

Key Cancellation Terms

  • Bookings with Prepayment:
    If you have prepaid for your booking, you are entitled to a full refund of the total amount if you cancel 5 days or more before the scheduled pick-up time. If you cancel less than 5 days before the pick-up time, or if you do not show up for your reservation, the full amount of the booking will be charged, and no refund will be provided.
  • Bookings without Prepayment:
    If you have reserved a vehicle but have not prepaid, there will be no charge if you need to cancel. However, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice. This allows us to make the vehicle available to other customers. Failure to provide this notice may impact future reservations.
  • Amending Your Booking:
    If you need to change the dates or type of vehicle for your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to vehicle availability. Please be aware that rental rates can change daily, so modifying your reservation might alter the overall cost.

To cancel or amend a booking, please call our office directly. This ensures we can process your request immediately and confirm the cancellation with you.


If you have a prepaid reservation and do not collect the vehicle at the specified time (a 'no-show'), you will be charged the full amount of the booking with no refund. If you haven't prepaid, there is no charge, but we appreciate you letting us know.


Possibly. Rental rates are subject to daily fluctuations and vehicle availability. Changing the dates of your hire may result in a different daily rate and a new overall price for the rental period.
